DANVILLE, Pennsylvania. – Geisinger reinforces its commitment to its employees by building on its strong benefit programs and career development offerings by increasing its minimum rate of pay to $ 15 per hour for current and future employees, effective from September 26.

In addition to competitive compensation, Geisinger regularly invests in its employees by providing them with comprehensive benefits including affordable health care coverage that begins on an employee’s first day of employment, retirement contributions, reimbursement tuition fees, career development programs and more.

“By investing in our Geisinger family, we are investing in our patients, our members and the communities we serve,” said Brion Lieberman, director of human resources at Geisinger. “Increasing our minimum hire rate, along with our other benefits, shows our continued commitment to our dedicated employees and increases our ability to attract talented candidates to fulfill our mission of making better health easier. “

In 2019, the healthcare system also unveiled paid parental and military leave benefits. These benefits further supported employees by giving them greater flexibility to balance their commitment to their families and their service to our country.

This most recent investment in raising the organization’s minimum wage is having a positive impact on current employees and those joining the organization. The largest employee groups who benefit include licensed practical nurses, food service workers, physician assistants, and patient access representatives, among others.
