Haryana CM Launches Online Medical Financial Assistance Portal; here’s how to apply

Chandīgarh | Jagran Press Office: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday launched a portal for applicants seeking financial assistance for medical reasons under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. A portal, called SARAL, “will simplify the process for applicants for financial assistance for medical reasons”, a government spokesperson said.

After the launch of the portal, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, “The mandate of our government is to ensure good governance across the state. Our objective is to provide services to candidates within the given deadlines”.

How do I apply for financial assistance for medical reasons?

Applicants can apply for financial assistance for medical reasons by visiting the SARAL portal, saralharyana.gov.in.
While applying, candidates would need a family ID card, called Parivar Pehchan Patra Identity (PPP-ID). Persons without Parivar Pehchan Patra ID (PPP-ID) can apply through the meraparivar.haryana.gov.in website.

After entering the PPP-ID, you will receive a one-time password to your registered mobile number. After adding the OTP, the interface of SARAL Haryana will open, where you can add the relevant documents like medical bills, reports, OPD bills, etc. to apply for financial assistance for medical reasons from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

How will the application mount in the system?

A Haryana government spokesperson said that once applied, the app will be further marked for the login of public representatives of the concerned area (MP, MP, Chairman of Zila Parishad, Chairman of Block Samiti, mayor/president of municipal councils).

“Thereafter, the application will be forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner, who in turn will forward it to the relevant tehsildar and civil surgeon for verification of land details and medical documents respectively. A district-level committee will meet fortnightly and recommend cases for granting financial assistance for medical reasons to the Office of the Chief Minister. The amount will be transferred directly to the applicant or beneficiary’s account, the spokesperson added.
