Star Health and Allied Insurance, backed by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, was a failure among investors as the initial public offering (IPO) was not fully subscribed, even the latter after extending the two-hour cut-off time.

After failing to fully subscribe on the last day of the initial public offering (IPO), investment bankers at the company backed by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala had reduced the offering for sale (OFS) shares.

The last day, December 2, since the program was only subscribed to 79% and therefore decided to reduce certain sales of OFS.

The company later managed to raise 6,410 crore, from its initial target of ₹ 7,249 crore.

The gray market premium for the company’s shares has continued to decline since the first day of the IPO and is now discounted.

Here is how to check Star Health and Allied Insurance IPO award status on the stock exchange website:

  • Go to ESB website or the NSE website here.
  • On the BSE, select “Equity” and then from the drop-down list select “Star Health and Allied Insurance”.
  • Now enter your application number and PAN.
  • Click on ‘Search’.
  • Please note that details will only be available once the shares have been awarded.

  • Visit the Registrar’s website here.
  • Click on “Select a company” and click on “Star Health and Allied Insurance”.
  • Once the company is selected, you will need to enter either your PAN details, the request number or the client ID.
  • Enter the captcha and click “submit”.

Once you have clicked on “submit”, the status of your request will appear on the screen. Please make sure the details you provide are correct.
