Rosendale Library’s proposed 2022 budget released to voters September 2 – Daily Freeman
ROSENDALE, NY – On Thursday, September 2, residents will vote on a 2022 budget proposal of $ 387,500 for the Rosendale Library, which will result in a 14.48% increase to $ 49,000.
Voting will take place from noon to 7 p.m. at the library at 264 Main Street.
As part of the spending plan, there would be a property tax levy of $ 329,000, which represents an increase of 2.81 percent from $ 9,000.
Changes in the budget include:
• Capital improvements to $ 50,000 for a 400% increase of $ 40,000.
• Collections at $ 17,500 for a decrease of 6.67% from $ 1,250.
• Professional Consultants at $ 14,000 for a 250% increase of $ 10,000.
• Health benefits at $ 9,800 for an increase of 6,433 percent from $ 9,650.
• Construction costs of $ 9,000 for a 50% increase of $ 3,000.
• Mid Hudson Library System at $ 8,400 for a 1.2% increase of $ 100.
• Utilities at $ 5,200 for a decrease of 38.82% from $ 3,300.
• Equipment at $ 4,000 for a 50% reduction of $ 4,000.
• Maintenance of electronic equipment at $ 3,800 for an increase of 111.11% of $ 2,000.
• Workers’ compensation to $ 3,500 for a 75 per cent increase of $ 1,500.
Also on the ballot will be three seats on the board carrying four-year terms requested by titular director Rose Unes, titular director William Stamm and Rachel Helm
