Touro University Nevada School of Nursing Programs Receive Prestigious 10-Year Accreditation Extension

LAS VEGAS, NEV – The Touro University of Nevada School of Nursing has received a 10-year accreditation result for its four programs by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), the highest possible accreditation result .

CCNE is recognized by the US Department of Education as a national accrediting agency that ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency/scholarship nursing programs.

News of Touro’s accreditation comes after two years of preparation, culminating in a team of CCNE site visitors reviewing Touro’s four nursing programs in November 2021 to confirm Touro’s compliance with regulatory standards. Touro faculty worked closely with students throughout the accreditation process, the majority of which took place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Touro University Nevada School of Nursing offers four programs: RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Post-MSN Graduate Certificate – Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

The four programs, which are tailored to meet the needs of practicing nurses, have been awarded with 10-year reaccreditation. Each program has been evaluated on merit by the CCNE.
