Five months after temporarily shutting down, independent, local Bellevue restaurant The Lakehouse plans to reopen on October 12, with the craft cocktail destination Civility & Unrest reopening on October 14.

Owner Jason Wilson brings a new food team to both of these projects, with Scott Emerick heading the kitchens and Tanya Emerick as pastry chef.

The restaurant and bar closed in April after a long battle to keep the doors open during the global COVID pandemic. After planning, calculating, and repositioning, Wilson and the Emericks are ready to invite guests to The Lakehouse.

They say they expect the same feeling of a refined, relaxing retreat reminiscent of the previous Lakehouse, but evolving into a more laid-back dynamic of vibrant, locally grown and seasonal artisanal cuisine, fresh off the market. The Emericks will also open with a new retail space within The Lakehouse. Civility & Unrest will open on October 14, offering cocktails, liqueurs and sparkling selections Wednesday through Saturday at 4 p.m. until closing. The Lakehouse dinner menu will be available until 10 p.m. followed by a late night menu until 10 p.m.
